I love the internet

March 14, 2011

As you may or may not know, WordPress in its infinite wisdom keeps track of all the search terms that lead to hits for one’s blog. In my case, most of the search terms are fairly benign “chris courtin”, “chris courtin blog”, that sort of thing. Some, however, were decidedly stranger and I thought I’d share some of the best with you.

-unbelieveably tall giraffe
-dad cleaning gutters
-can i marry a maasai man
-a woman that eat giraffe
-life size moving statue of giraffe
-how to keep a witch away your home
-how to put a spell on lover kenya
-facts on people sleeping with corpse
-niagara falls orgy

And my personal favorite:

-”prostitute friendly” nairobi hotels

In fact, if you search ‘”prostitute friendly” nariobi hotels’ (do so at your own risk!) my blog is the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd link that comes up! I have achieved internet nirvana.

Haha, that’s my favorite thing about WordPress as well. I get some funny ones like “two dead lions next to a tree,” “are there tigers on Mt. Kilimanjaro,” “what was temperature in new jersey on december 1, 2010,” “when elephants cuddle the grass is hurting,” and “what should you do if you are surrounded by 20 lion 15 tigers math page and 10 leopards math answer key.” I wish the person that searched “research assistant to help with my thesis nairobi kenya” would have contacted me and apparently my highest hit is “ostrich nest.” I think you win though with the “prostitute friendly” nairobi hotels… geez Chris, what have you been up to?! haha

You are only going to move up in the google ranks now that you’ve listed these phrases and the weird searchers will get even more hits!

    My favorite for mine?

    “sweaty” back
    “backpackers” “thrown into pool”
    familyprayer
    usage of gray areas

    Where does this come from?!
